A technical fault in the air‐traffic control (ATC) system at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi disrupted operations on 6 – 7 November 2025, delaying over 100 flights when the airport’s Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) failed and controllers had to process flight plans manually. Major Indian carriers including Air India, IndiGo and SpiceJet posted advisories urging passengers to check flight status amid average departure delays of about 45–55 minutes.
