Tried applying for an Indian business eVisa and the whole process has been incredibly frustrating.
After paying £189 on the official site, there was no confirmation email or application reference. Contacted support and two days later they replied saying no application exists under the name or passport number, even after showing proof of payment.
Because the flight is coming up soon, a tourist visa application was submitted instead since those are supposed to process faster. Then an email came saying the invitation letter file was corrupted and needed to be uploaded again. The problem is the upload page keeps giving an “invalid error”, even after trying different browsers, devices, and incognito mode.
Tried calling the support number as well, but it mostly connected to an AI assistant that couldn’t understand the issue, and when reaching a person the calls were repeatedly disconnected.
At this point there’s real concern about missing the upcoming work trip because the visa process hasn’t gone through.
