In The Aftermath Of Passengers Losing Their Cellphones, Garuda Indonesia Establishes Coordination With The Police

Image

Garuda Indonesia is now working closely with the Indonesian National Police after a passenger lost their cellphone on flight GA 716 (Jakarta–Melbourne) on June 6, 2025—apparently it was left by crew at a hotel and later found in a nearby river! They’ve emphasized transparency and legal accountability while coordinating with the passenger and keeping crew on duty released. Kudos to Garuda for taking it seriously—but it does make you wonder about lost items on long haul flights! Have any of you ever lost something important onboard—phone, tablet, passport? Let’s hear your stories before our next trip.
