Visiting my in laws an hour outside Boston and found out they refuse to drive to the airport because they say it’s the worst one to deal with. Instead, they’re willing to drive us to a friend’s place near the city so we can Uber from there. Which is exactly as awkward as it sounds.
On the way here we already had to Uber to that same friend’s house and basically crash a get together just to get picked up. Now on the way out our choices were repeat that, take a long train ride, or Uber straight from their house.
We went with the full Uber because it’s the least hassle, even though it’s expensive. Next time I’m just renting a car and avoiding this whole situation.
What makes it more annoying is that they offered to handle transport and I always pick them up from the airport when they visit us. If I’d known this was the plan, I would’ve rented a car from the start.
