I have an upcoming stay booked at the new Six Senses London, which I was really excited about. As an IHG Platinum Ambassador member, one of the key perks I was looking forward to was the brand-specific benefit of two complimentary massages.
However, I was recently informed by the hotel that this benefit has been discontinued, and I don’t recall receiving any official communication from IHG about this change.
The hotel also shared that several of the main wellness facilities, including the indoor pool, magnesium pool, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room, will not be available due to maintenance issues. While some alternative amenities like the hammam, bio sauna, infrared sauna, ice bath, and gym are still open, it significantly changes the experience.
Given that access to these wellness features was a major reason for booking, especially at around $1200 per night, I’m now considering canceling the reservation.
