Trying to book a 4 night stay using IHG reward points and noticed something a bit strange.
The promotion says the 4th night is free, but when looking at the booking details the first three nights cost more points than they would if booked separately for those same dates.
Still technically saving points overall, but it feels a bit confusing since it’s the exact same room and same hotel, yet the nightly points price changes when the free night is applied.
Curious if this is just how the IHG rewards system works or if there’s something missing about how the pricing is calculated.
