Saw a discussion about IHG surveys and it made me wonder how their rating system actually works.
Apparently some properties hint that anything less than a very high score counts as a negative review internally. So even if a guest feels the stay was decent but not perfect and gives something like a 7 or 8, the hotel might treat it almost like a bad rating.
That seems a bit harsh if true. A place can be perfectly fine but still have small issues that keep it from being a 9 or 10.
Makes me wonder if some hotels push guests toward higher scores because of how the surveys are measured.
