IHG canceled my Kimpton Seafire reservation and now it’s gone

I had a points booking at the Kimpton Seafire for March for a family trip. I called about the reservation with a question, not to cancel it, and somehow it ended up being canceled.


Now the hotel is fully booked for points nights and I can’t afford the cash rate to rebook it.


I’ve talked to at least ten different people between IHG and the hotel. Customer service has been all over the place. Some reps sounded like they cared but still couldn’t fix it. I can’t even get a proper callback number.


It’s incredibly frustrating to lose a reservation like that, especially when I didn’t ask to cancel it.
