Lately it feels like people who reserve Ubers in advance think they booked a private car for the whole day. That’s not how it works.
I usually have back to back reservations. Once the five minute wait time is up, I’m gone. If I wait longer and miss my next reservation, Uber takes that ride away from me and gives it to another driver. I lose that fare.
If I cancel after waiting five minutes, I get a cancellation fee and I can still make my next ride on time. This is literally how I make money.
When you reserve a ride, you pick the time. Being ready at that time shouldn’t be a struggle. Waiting around costs drivers money.
