I’m based in Madrid and signed up for the Iberia Icon card, so I’ve been playing the Iberia Plus game for a while. The perks feel so tight compared to American. With Ruby on AA I could grab those nice seats behind PE for free at 24 hours. Now I’m Iberia Oro, which is Sapphire, and Iberia still wants 110 euros for the same seats.
And the WiFi thing is just silly. Oro still only gets messaging and you can’t even use Avios to pay for full WiFi.
Honestly it just pushes me toward flying AA whenever I can. Feels like a much better deal for the same status level.
