Was anyone else at the Minnesota State Fair on Saturday when Gate 5 got temporarily shut down? I was heading in right around 1 p.m. when everything got redirected due to a Black Lives Matter protest near Snelling and Midway. It caught a lot of people off guard, and buses paused too. Police were out keeping things calm, and it all wrapped up just over an hour later with no major incidents.

Honestly, it’s wild how fast plans can change at big events like this. I appreciate how the crowd and police handled it, but I’m curious, were you there when it happened? Did the closure affect your plans or your way in/out of the fair? Let’s swap stories if you were caught up in it!
