I finally took one last ride on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit before it closed for good today, and wow it hit harder than I expected. This coaster was always my go-to at Universal Orlando nothing beat that vertical lift and blasting Sandstorm or Black Parade as you zipped through those loops. The fact that you could pick your own song just made it feel personal every time.
I know Universal hasn’t announced what’s coming next, but part of me hopes they go big like a Ghostbusters ride or something totally new. I’m still a little bummed though. Rip Ride Rockit was one of the few rides that hit that perfect mix of music, thrills, and nostalgia.
Did anyone else manage to ride it before today? What do you hope replaces it?
