I just had to share how impressed I have been with Away luggage. I used to be a devoted Calpak user, but after making the switch to Away, I honestly do not think I could go back.
The first thing I noticed was how much smoother the wheels roll. The overall build quality and thoughtful design details really stood out to me as well. The compression system has been an absolute game changer. I am a notoriously messy packer who tends to throw everything into my suitcase and zip it shut at the last minute, and the compression feature has made packing so much easier. I no longer have to fight with clothes spilling everywhere or carefully plan how I open my luggage.
There are also so many small details that I have come to appreciate, like the garment bag, the scuff-removal sponge, and the overall attention put into the user experience. On top of that, I genuinely think the warranty is one of Away's biggest selling points.
For comparison, my Calpak suitcase only lasted two trips before a wheel broke off. Meanwhile, my Away luggage has been dragged around on multiple trips and is still holding up beautifully. And even if something eventually does happen to it, the warranty gives me a lot of peace of mind.
I have been so happy with it that I even convinced my fiancé to switch over too. His Calpak is officially retired.
If you have been debating whether Away luggage is worth trying, my experience has been an enthusiastic yes.
