5-star hotels in India are usually world class, but this one completely broke that expectation, even though it’s branded as a Grand Hyatt.
Issues experienced:
Extremely rude staff at check-in who tried to shame me into adding breakfast
Room smelled strongly of paint fumes and caused a headache (room was changed, no apology given)
Carpet stained and faded, with peeling wall panels despite the property being only ~4 years old
No bathtub, no desk or chair in the room
Room design felt strange and maze-like, almost unsettling
Overall, the stay felt far below expected luxury standards. Considering switching to the nearby Hilton Baani Square instead.
