Flew out of Singapore this month and my gate (A15) was one of those enclosed glass-box setups. Once you clear the gate security you can’t leave. No shops, no café, and somehow no bathroom inside. I was on day two of my period, asked to step out, and they said I had to hand over my passport and boarding pass. When I said the design felt odd, the tone got snippy, which just made the whole thing more humiliating.
If you see gate-side security at Changi, don’t enter until boarding actually starts. Hit the bathroom, grab water or coffee, then go in. Better signage would help a lot, but until then, plan ahead so you don’t get stuck like I did.
