I was supposed to be on a quick weekend trip, but American Airlines had other plans. Got completely stranded at Dallas-Fort Worth after they canceled my flight to Phoenix one of more than 120 flights AA scrapped across the country. The terminal was packed, tensions were high, and no one really knew what was going on. I spent hours trying to rebook, only to get a seat two days later on a totally different route. Add in the hotel cost and missed plans, and this turned into a pricey mess.
What’s wild is how many major routes were hit from LA and Miami to Chicago and even international ones. I’m seriously rethinking flying AA again, at least out of DFW.
