I just found out Hawaiian Airlines is cutting its nonstop flights from Boston to Honolulu this November, and I’m honestly bummed. I took that flight last year and yeah, it was a long haul, but it was so worth it to avoid layovers. The route started in 2019 and was actually the longest domestic flight in the U.S. Crazy, right?
Apparently, demand didn’t bounce back enough post-pandemic, and Delta’s also axing their version of the route a day later. I get it, Hawaii is expensive and not everyone can swing it right now.
But for those of us in New England who love the islands, this makes it a lot trickier. Anyone else ever do this flight? Would you go back to Hawaii with a layover, or is it just too much?
