I am pretty frustrated with a recent change on my Emirates business class booking.
When I originally booked in December, the flight was on an A380, and I also paid extra to reserve our seats so we could sit together. However, the aircraft was later swapped to a B777.
After checking in, I realized that our seats are now split across the aisle and there are no adjacent seats left available to change into.
Instead, we were given a complimentary lounge visit, which is not really useful for us in this situation.
I understand aircraft changes can happen, but I am trying to figure out whether there is any realistic way to get seated together again or if this is just something I have to accept due to the reconfiguration on the different aircraft type.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation after an A380 to 777 swap?
