I am hoping for some guidance on what to pick for my 55K milestone reward.
I currently hold Titanium status with Alaska Airlines and my home airport is Seattle. Last year I chose 5,000 bonus miles and a $10,000 discount on an unlocked experience, but I have not used the discount yet and I do not really need more miles at the moment.
This year I am considering selecting upgrade certificates twice instead. However, I have never used upgrade certificates before and I am unsure how effective they are in actually getting upgrades.
I only have a few upcoming trips planned this year, including about three round trips for my spouse and me, with a possible additional trip to Hawaii later in the year. I also expect I may end the year at Platinum rather than Titanium.
I would appreciate any advice or experiences with how useful these milestone upgrade certificates actually are.
