I'm looking at an Air France itinerary for 8 September, operated by IndiGo and Air France under a single Air France codeshare ticket. However, the connection at Delhi has me a bit concerned.
Here's the situation:
The entire journey is booked on a single ticket.
I'll need to transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 at Delhi Airport.
I'll have to collect my checked baggage at T1, take the airport shuttle to T3, check my bags in again, and then clear immigration and security before the international departure.
I have a few questions:
Is a 3-hour 10-minute layover realistically enough to complete this transfer?
Has anyone recently done this exact T1 to T3 connection with checked baggage? If so, how was the experience?
Would you feel comfortable booking this itinerary, or does it seem too risky despite being on a single ticket?
Would it be wiser to book a separate IndiGo flight and arrive in Delhi 6–7 hours before the Air France departure instead?
I understand that Air France would likely rebook me if I missed the connection since it's a single ticket, but I'd rather avoid starting my trip with a missed connection and a potentially long delay.
