Hyatt won’t merge consecutive free night bookings anymore?

Just got told at the front desk that my consecutive free night certificate bookings can’t be merged and that I’ll have to check out and check back in every morning. They also claimed they’ve “never” merged bookings in all the years the manager’s been there.


That sounds off. I’ve done this plenty of times before, and it’s not even possible online to book multiple FNCs as one stay anyway. Being told I should’ve made one booking feels like blaming the guest for a system limitation.


Now I’m wondering if this is a policy change or just a hotel choosing to make things difficult for people using certificates. Either way, it’s a pretty bad experience and makes me question putting so much spend into WoH.


Anyone else run into this recently?
