Hyatt has Small Loss but Big Luxury Growth Ahead

Just got back from a stay at a Hyatt, and honestly, I can see why they’re leaning so hard into luxury. From the moment I walked into the lobby, everything just felt elevated. The space had that crisp, signature Hyatt scent, the check-in staff addressed me by name, and my room had floor-to-ceiling windows that made it hard to leave.

What really stood out was the attention to detail perfectly made bed, locally inspired touches in the decor, and a bathroom stocked with high-end toiletries the kind you actually want to take home. Even the breakfast felt curated, not just a buffet line. You can tell they’re putting their energy into making these premium stays unforgettable. If this is the direction Hyatt is going, I’m all for it though I get why their budget properties might be lagging. Once you’ve tasted the luxury side, it’s hard to go back.
