I booked a four-night Hyatt stay before a recent devaluation using a split payment option. The booking included two nights fully paid with points and two nights using a combination of cash and points.
I transferred points from Chase and my Hyatt account initially showed the correct points balance after the booking was made. However, my reservation now displays the rate as “confidential,” which is different from what I expected.
When I contacted Hyatt, they told me the system shows the entire stay as a cash booking with a different total points value and no cash component listed.
I am concerned about whether this discrepancy could lead to points being adjusted or deducted later, and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar with hybrid points-and-cash bookings.
