I’m trying to understand how the ongoing fuel situation is impacting costs and day-to-day living for digital nomads in different parts of the world. I’ve come across several YouTube videos suggesting that prices are significantly rising in places like Thailand and parts of East Africa, but it’s difficult to tell whether that reflects the actual situation or is being exaggerated for content.
I’m currently considering a trip to Southeast Asia and want to make an informed and responsible decision. If a destination is genuinely experiencing fuel shortages, I’d prefer to avoid traveling there for now. I’m also trying to approach digital nomad travel in an ethical way and be mindful of local conditions.
I’d appreciate any real-world insights on how this is affecting travel and living costs, as well as how others are incorporating this into their own nomad plans.
