My backpack exceeds the listed personal item dimensions, and I am traveling on a Youth Light fare. I am also a SkyTeam Elite Plus member, which gives me Zone 1 boarding and a checked baggage allowance.
I only have a 55-minute connection in Copenhagen, so I would prefer to avoid checking my backpack if possible. At the same time, I do not want to risk being stopped at the gate and having to check it there.
For those with Zone 1 boarding, how closely does SAS enforce personal item size limits? Also, my travel companions are in Zone 5, and I would prefer to board with them if allowed.
