Checking in for EWR to LAX (9am) and got the volunteer voucher offer pop up.
Trying to figure out what to bid. Thinking $199, maybe $350. My schedule is flexible enough to take a later flight if needed.
Google Flights only shows one later Spirit option about 7 hours later with a layover. My original is nonstop. Not sure how overbooked this flight actually is or how common this is for a morning departure.
Has anyone had success bidding on these? Is there a sweet spot where you’re likely to get picked without going too low?
Also, do they ever do cash instead of credit? Or at least non expiring credit?
Curious how this usually plays out.
