How do I lock my hotel door from the inside?

Staying alone in a hotel and can’t figure out how to lock the door from the inside. The icon on the handle makes no sense, and pressing it doesn’t do anything.

Is there some trick to these locks? Feeling a bit uneasy, so any quick advice would help!
