When I search for Cathay award flights, the booking page states that the cash amount for fees, taxes, and surcharges is only provided as a reference. How much can the final amount differ when it comes time to actually complete the booking?
I'm asking because I don't currently have enough funds available to cover a significantly higher charge, so I'd like to know how reliable the quoted amount usually is before transferring or using my points.
