Housekeeping opt-out program offering food and beverage credit for skipping room cleaning

Some Marriott properties appear to offer a program where guests can decline daily housekeeping by placing a card on the door. In exchange, the hotel provides a food and beverage credit for each day housekeeping is skipped.

I’m trying to understand guest sentiment on this kind of setup. Would you actually participate in an option like this during a stay, and if so, for how many nights would it make sense before it stops being worthwhile or practical?
