You’re not alone, this comes up a lot with the Hotels by SAS portal.
Points from those bookings often take way longer than flights. A month isn’t unusual, and I’ve seen reports of it taking 6 to 8 weeks, sometimes even longer during promos like the Christmas calendar. It’s especially bad when the booking spans different months.
The annoying part is that SAS and Hotels.com both deflect responsibility. SAS markets it, but Hotels.com actually runs the backend, so missing points almost always end up being a Hotels.com issue even though SAS tells you to file a claim.
The confirmation email stating the EB points is key. Hang onto that. If the points still haven’t posted after 8 weeks from checkout, you’ll probably have no choice but to contact Hotels.com support and provide that confirmation. Chat sometimes works better than phone if you can find it.
So yes, delays are normal, but not forever. I’d give it a bit more time, then escalate with Hotels.com using the SAS confirmation as proof.
