Stayed at the Homewood Suites Cincinnati Downtown back in September and used the hotel valet. They took my rental car and parked it in a nearby garage. Turns out the garage fined the car for the entire time it was there, over $100.
The rental car company paid the fine and then charged my card. So now I’m out the fine plus the $50 valet fee.
I contacted Hilton Honors with all the documentation. They sent it to the hotel, who sent it to the valet, who sent it to the parking garage. The garage stopped responding completely. I went back to Hilton and they just sent me right back to the hotel again. Same loop, no progress.
I’ve been dealing with this for months. No apology, no refund, no goodwill credit. I’m a Gold member and honestly shocked at how little ownership Hilton has taken here.
At this point I’m just trying to figure out how to escalate this properly or if I should accept that I’m eating the cost. Lesson learned, I guess. Never using hotel valet again.
