Checked into a hotel in Singapore really late and saw three small machines running. Thought they were mini air purifiers or something, but the air smelled weird and we both woke up coughing with sore throats. Turns out they were ozone generators which apparently should never be on when people are inside.
The front desk apologized but refused to comp the first night, even though we felt awful the next day. Has anyone dealt with something like this before?
