Looking at booking Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman with IHG points and noticed something odd. When I switch to points, it says the 12 percent service charge is excluded from the points rate.
What is that charge actually based on if you’re not paying a cash rate? Is it tied to the cash value of the room, or just applied to incidentals or something else?
Trying to figure out what the real out of pocket cost would be on an award stay here. If anyone’s booked this property on points before, would love to hear how it played out.
