Just a heads up and request for advice, I had a reservation next week at Sonder Village 21 in Nashville, but I found out on my own (via Google Maps!) that the hotel has been permanently closed.
I never got any cancellation email or notification. When I called customer service, they just said, “Yeah, that property’s closed we’ll refund you,” with zero apology or compensation.
The refund is fine, but all the nearby hotels are now insanely expensive since it’s so last-minute. I’m honestly shocked they didn’t at least warn guests. Imagine just showing up to find no check-in desk.
