Booked Holiday Inn San Marcos months ago for parents weekend, since the whole city sells out. Got both email and text confirmations right up until the day before. Showed up and they told us our reservation was canceled and the room given away. Their excuse was “no card on file,” even though the booking said no deposit required and they clearly had my contact info since they emailed and texted me.
We had no other options and ended up driving home the same night. Is there any recourse here with IHG or the hotel?
