Booked a hostel through HostelWorld, supposed to check in at 11 a.m. Got there at 2, they said “2 more hours.” Came back 3 hours later, same story. Other guests said they’d been promised rooms for days and some were leaving.
Manager ignored my calls, but staff let me cancel on the spot and signed a note confirming no cost. They said refund would go through HostelWorld.
It was a non-flexible booking, am I entitled to a full refund (deposit + $50 booking guarantee)? Opened a claim but HostelWorld seems to be dodging the refund part. Anyone had luck with this?
