Hilton told me I didn’t get the daily F and B credit because I checked in on the app?

Just finished a multi night stay and used the restaurant every day. Got the folio this morning and none of the daily credits were applied. Stopped by the front desk and they said that even though my profile had the F and B credit selected, because I checked in through the app and never went to the desk, they “didn’t know” and defaulted to points instead. I’m Gold.


Feels like a weak excuse. Is this normal or is the hotel just trying to dodge the credit?
