I work at an Embassy Suites in Orlando and we just started charging $15 a night for self parking. That already felt annoying, but then I realized the Hampton Inn in St. Augustine I’ve been staying at for the past 6 months just started charging $15 a night too.
Both are Hilton brands, both rolled it out recently, which makes me wonder if this is coming from Hilton corporate or if properties are just copying each other.
Is this becoming a new Hilton standard, or is this more about individual hotels trying to squeeze extra revenue wherever they can?
