I’ve got a two night points reservation this weekend that I’m trying to change to one night. I called the Diamond Desk and was told they can’t modify a points reservation, only cancel and rebook.
Problem is the hotel is now sold out, so canceling would mean losing the room entirely. I’m still within the cancellation window, so that part isn’t the issue.
Is this actually how Hilton points bookings work? Seems strange they can’t just remove a night from an existing reservation. Has anyone dealt with this before?
