Really enjoyed reading this because it’s true there’s so much more to the DR than just Punta Cana’s resorts. The Cueva de las Maravillas and Samaná’s beaches both sound incredible if you want a mix of nature and culture. I’ve been to Punta Cana before, but this makes me want to plan a trip where I actually explore the rest of the island.
Pico Duarte is definitely on my list now too.
