I applied the Amex Platinum Hertz discount while logged into my account and a 5 day rental came out to about $77 per day. Out of curiosity, I opened an incognito window and searched the exact same rental without signing in. Price was around $43 per day. Same car, same dates.
That’s not a discount. That’s the opposite.
On top of that, the Hertz app and website are a mess to use. After this, I tried Enterprise for the first time last week and the experience was way better. They even status matched my Hertz President’s Circle to Enterprise Platinum with no hassle.
If anyone else is fed up, Enterprise has a simple status match page where you just upload a screenshot of your Hertz status. At this point, I’m done chasing “benefits” that actually cost more.
