I have a two-week trip to Guatemala booked from the 15th to the 29th and I’m trying to finalize my itinerary. Initially, I planned parts of the trip around traveling with a friend, but now I’ll be going solo, so I need to adjust my schedule.
My current plan is to spend a few days in Panajachel from the 15th to the 17th, then travel to Antigua on the 18th. I have a volcano tour booked for Acatenango, Fuego, and possibly Pacaya between the 19th and 20th/21st (depending on group availability).
After that, from the 21st to the 29th, I’m unsure how to organize the remaining days. I’m interested in visiting both Semuc Champey and Tikal, but I’m not sure if it’s realistic to fit both into the remaining time while also ensuring I return to Guatemala City in time for my flight on the afternoon of the 29th.
I’m open to suggestions on whether this plan is feasible or if there are better ways to structure the itinerary, including alternative destinations that might be easier to fit in logistically. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
