I’m in Minnesota right now, and the air is thick with smoke from wildfires in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The state issued an air quality alert through Tuesday morning, with large areas in the red “unhealthy” category. In the north, you can smell the smoke and even see it in the haze not exactly ideal for outdoor plans. The Twin Cities and southern Minnesota have slightly better conditions, but it’s still not great, especially for sensitive groups.
If you’re traveling here, it’s worth keeping indoor activities in mind and checking the air quality index before heading out. By midweek, the air should improve in the south and west, but more smoke could linger in the north. Anyone else had a trip or outdoor plans altered by wildfire smoke lately?
