Been a while since I’ve done this too, but Hawaiian’s interisland and mainland flights now run out of the same general area at HNL. If you’re flying LIH to HNL on Hawaiian and then Hawaiian again to LAX, you stay inside and don’t go through TSA a second time.

Still a bit of a walk depending on the gate, but no security redo.
