We’re flying KOA to OGG arriving at 2:29, then OGG to LAX at 4:07. All on one ticket. Timing feels a bit tight so I called Hawaiian and they said bags will check through and it’s fine.
What’s confusing me is that everything I read online and here says you have to collect bags at OGG for the ag inspection before mainland flights. So now I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding how this works or if Hawaiian phone support is just oversimplifying it.
We’ve got an LAX to LHR flight the next day, so missing the OGG to LAX leg would really mess things up. Has anyone done this exact setup recently and knows what actually happens with bags at OGG?
