I noticed that Hawaiian Airlines has now launched its food pre-order system for flights, and I was surprised I haven’t seen much discussion about it yet.
It seems quite new, as there aren’t even proper food photos available yet. The whole setup also feels a bit different from the previous Hawaiian-style catering, and more aligned with what Alaska Airlines has been doing since the integration.
I also noticed some noticeable menu changes, including options like a burger on the menu instead of the more traditional plated meal offerings. I did see a teri burger option as well, which still feels somewhat familiar. Personally, I’m leaning toward the koji chicken since it seems closer to a more traditional Hawaiian-inspired meal.
I’m curious if anyone has recently flown and tried the new pre-order meals. How was the quality compared to the old service?
Also, are printed menus still being provided onboard, or has everything fully moved to digital now?
