I noticed something interesting with Southwest Hawaii inter-island flights.
Last-minute fares are currently around $135 for Basic and about $155 for Choice, but the points pricing is showing as low as 4,000 points for both options (around 3.8 cents per point on Choice).
While I am generally not a fan of dynamic pricing, this seems like a rare positive case where the cash fares have gone up but the points redemptions still remain relatively low, making the value unusually strong.
Has anyone else seen similar redemption rates recently on inter-island routes, or is this just a temporary pricing anomaly?
