I had just arrived in Bruges for a day trip on a beautiful day with perfect weather.
As I turned into the Markt in the city center, everything felt like it was unfolding like a movie scene: church bells began ringing, a horse-drawn carriage passed by, and a group of people nearby started laughing. I was also walking past a chocolate shop, so the whole area smelled sweet.
For a moment, it honestly felt staged.
I was incredibly happy in that instant, very touristy and cliché, but completely immersed in it.
