I understand how silly this sounds, but I have increased travel for work from a coupe times a year to multiple nights a month over the last 18 months. Following my boss's preference, I went heavy on Courtyard.
While I still live Marriott as a whole, the Bistro is so bad that I now actively avoid it unless we are on a trip together. I prioritize a good dinner and beer (not like surf and turf, a local specialty or a good sandwich are all I need).
The Bistro is just horrible. The TVs to watch a game are only on half the time. The food is reheated garbage in a commercial air fryer. The prices are just like being at the airport. I went to a brand new Courtyard and was excited to see a bigger version of the Bistro with more than one person working; nope, the food was still garbage and the beer overpriced.
I'm now on the road enough that I feel it is OK to expect something better since I can't cook at home. I have become fond of Four Points lately.
