Just got back from Hard Rock Punta Cana and honestly, it was rough. We paid a premium expecting a nice family getaway, but right after check-in we got hit with aggressive timeshare reps pretending to be hotel staff. I just wanted my prepaid golf cart, and somehow ended up in a full-on sales pitch. Total bait-and-switch.
The food was easily the worst I’ve had at an all-inclusive, and the staff mostly felt cold or irritated. Even renting a cabana turned into drama. Everything seemed to come with some kind of upsell or hassle.
The beach and pools are great, and the rooms are nice but that doesn’t make up for feeling like you’re being hustled the whole time. Definitely not the “luxury” vibe they advertise.
